The combustion process of diesel generators is generally divided into four stages: ignition delay stage, rapid combustion stage, slow combustion stage and post-combustion stage.
Ignition delay refers to a series of physical and chemical preparation processes from fuel injection to ignition, including spraying, heating and evaporation, diffusion, mixing, and initial oxidation. It is an important parameter in the combustion process and directly affects the characteristics of the combustion heat release process.
The fuel injected into the combustion chamber during the ignition delay period burns almost simultaneously during the rapid combustion period, so the heat release rate is very high, and the pressure rises very quickly.
In the retarding phase, the fuel combustion depends on the mixing rate. Therefore, strengthening the air turbulence in the combustion chamber and accelerating the mixing of air and fuel play an important role in ensuring that the fuel is quickly and completely burned near the top dead center.
The mixing and burning time of a diesel engine is relatively short, part of the fuel cannot be burned in time near the top dead center, and the heat released at the end of the expansion stroke cannot be fully utilized. Therefore, it is necessary to avoid the fuel burning in the post-combustion stage.
How to extend the service life of a diesel generator?
The life of a generator set depends on how it is used correctly at ordinary times. If it is maintained in accordance with the technology used, it will directly increase its service life. To make it clear, first, the air filter of the generator set contains the wearing parts, the oil filter and the diesel filter, which prolong the service life of the diesel generator set. During the use process, the air filter will be strengthened. Oil filter and diesel filter are maintained and fully play their role.
When installing, the air filter must not leak, reverse or install the sealing gasket and rubber connecting pipe by mistake, and ensure the sealing of each embedded part. The paper dust cup air filter is cleaned every 50-100 hours. The dust on the surface can be brushed off with a soft brush. If it is used for more than 500 hours or damaged, it should be replaced in time. Use oil bath air filter, clean the filter element with clean diesel every 100-200 hours, and replace the oil in the filter element. If the filter element is broken, replace it immediately, and pay attention to refueling according to regulations during use.
If the oil filter is not maintained in time during the operation of the diesel generator, the filter element will be blocked, the pressure of the oil will increase, the safety valve will open, and the lubricating oil will flow directly into the main oil passage, which will increase the wear and tear of the lubricated surface. Affect the service life of diesel generators. Therefore, the oil filter should be cleaned every 180-200 hours. If damage is found, it should be replaced immediately to prevent impurities from entering the lubricated surface.
When the generator set is used in different seasons, the crankcase and all lubricated surfaces should be cleaned. The method is to use motor oil, kerosene, and diesel as washing oil. Wash oil can be added to wash after draining the oil.
All types of fuel filters in the fuel supply system are cleaned every 100-200 hours, and the fuel tank and all oil pipelines must be thoroughly cleaned. When cleaning the filter element and seals, you should be especially careful, if any damage is found, it needs to be replaced in time. During seasonal oil changes, all parts of the entire oil supply system should be cleaned. The diesel used should meet the seasonal requirements and undergo a 48-hour precipitation purification treatment.
When choosing a diesel generator set, the main considerations include electromechanical performance, usage of the diesel generator set, load capacity and variation range, operating environmental conditions (including altitude, climate conditions, noise), and automation functions of the diesel generator set. How to choose emergency diesel generator?
Emergency diesel generator sets should generally be high-speed, pressurized, low fuel consumption diesel generator sets with the same capacity. The high-speed supercharged diesel engine has large capacity and small space occupation. The diesel engine is equipped with electronic or hydraulic speed control device, which has good speed control performance. The piston and cylinder liner of the silent diesel generator are poorly sealed, causing the fuel to rise and burn;

Part of the oil flow is burned through the cylinder, and the rest is unburned. This part will form carbon deposits, which are discharged with the exhaust gas. When the exhaust pipe of the silent generator is assembled or carbon deposits are formed, when oil and carbon accumulate to a certain extent, it will flow out from the interface of the exhaust manifold.

The silent power generation time is long, and the small load operation will cause the mechanical equipment parts to be broken and cause incineration, so it must be handled and repaired in time. Low load and no-load operation time should be minimized.
